Shows! Glorious shows!

Hello everyone,

Yesterday was the opening night of Oliver! at Lincoln Cathedral, and it was a great start to our 2 week run. The gothic cathedral provides the perfect setting for the Dickens classic set to the music of Lionel Bart, creating a very fitting atmosphere for the production. For more information on how to get tickets visit their website but be quick because they are selling out fast!

In other news I am currently hard at work transcribing 45 pop songs for a function gig on Saturday the 17th of August, the day after Oliver! finishes. Just crossed over the half way point! This will hopefully be the first of many gigs with this particular band.

With all the work for Oliver! and this new function band, composing has had to take a back seat over the last couple of weeks. However, I am still determined to get enough material together for gigging before the end of the year. Ideas still come to me and I write them down whenever I get a chance. I am close to completing a second piece, and I already have arrangement ideas for older tunes that I want to revamp, so watch this space!

Hope you all are well,
